Tim Our Freind

Tim Rowley our Friend

Tim our friend died at the age of 57 suddenly in Derriford Hospital.

His funeral was held on the 19th February and as a testament to his popularity within the WCP around 40 members old and new came in tribute to the big funny man who made us all feel that we we could come together and put on the show of our lives.

His laughter would resonate through the rehearsal room and into backstage during show week.  The energy Tim would give to WCP was at times astounding.  Working night shifts, coming to the scenery dock to help Cliff, running through rehearsals and then going back to work again all in 24 hours would often leave us in awe of this big man with the kindest heart.

As Vice Chairman and Publicity Officer of the Management Committee he worked tirelessly to promote the productions to make sure we had an audience.  He often did this alone and would spend hours walking to various venues to make sure that they would display our flyers.

As we heard of Tim's illness WCP awarded Tim the distinction of Life Membership.  Unfortunately he passed away before we could present him with his award.  Jill our Chairman presented the award to Hilary and is now proudly hung in Tim's home.

We will all have enduring memories of our time with Tim.  Many of these will be of in the pub after a performance but his zest for life and for his acting has left an indelible mark in all our lives.

Once a performer has left the stage for the last time there is only one thing that he would want to hear, so we send to you Tim from the bottom of our hearts:

A standing ovation with loud wild applause, cheering, and shouts of

"Bravo Tim, Bravo"
